Australia is one of the world’s most tech-savvy nations, with one of the fastest take-ups of new technology. In 2008 it was ranked fourth in the world for e-readiness by the Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU). The information and communication technology market has grown at a rapid pace here, thanks to the highly-educated workforce and sophisticated business environment.

It is so portable that we think nothing of bringing hundreds of pages to the beach. It is inexpensive, flexible, doesn't require batteries and it will not fragment into a zillion smithereens if dropped. None of these things can be said of most modern technology. Apart from anything else, it is quite nice to hold the foldy stuff in or hands.
